Jonathan Meaney has been a planner with Carter Financial Management since 2006. He joined CFM following his affiliation with Southwest Securities, where he was a Financial Advisor & Assistant Branch manager of their Private Client Group office in the Park Cities.
Jonathan has been named by his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ peers in Dallas/Fort Worth as a D Magazine “Best Financial Planner” 1 for 2012 and 2013. He was named a “Top Wealth Manager”2 by the National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices (NABCAP) for 2012 and 2013, and named by Texas Monthly as a “Five Star Wealth Manager”3 for 2013.
He is serving as Presidentof the DFW Financial Planning Association in 2014, following terms as President Elect and Director of Education. He is serving his second year on the Dallas Estate Planning Council’s Board of Governors. Jonathan is on the Economic Policy Committee of the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, and is active in the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and Success North Dallas.
Jonathan is the trusted advisor to executives, attorneys, doctors, professionals, & entrepreneurs of all kinds. His clients find him to be a straightforward, consultative planner with an ability to bring balance to the analytic and emotional aspects of their finances. As a connector and organizer of the various parts of his client’s financial lives, he works collaboratively with the tax and legal professionals that also serve his clients.
In the community, Jonathan serves interests including the Low Birth Weight Development Center, North Texas Food Bank, Wounded Warrior Project and the American Red Cross.
Jonathan studied at Southern Methodist University to complete the Financial Planning Certification Program, and earned a BS in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University where he met his wife, Autumn.
